Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of students
- Implementing behaviour management strategies to create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Collaborating with other professionals, such as therapists and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive support plans
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, providing detailed feedback to teachers and parents
- Assisting with the care and personal needs of students, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support
- Participating in training and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge

Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant qualification in education, child care, or a related field (e.g. , NVQ, BTEC, or degree)
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, preferably in a teaching or support role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and professionals
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of children with special educational needs
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or the willingness to undergo a DBS check
