Are you a proactive Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in Early Years? A welcoming mainstream primary school in Bordesley Green is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Reception classes on a 1:1 basis, as well as leading small group interventions. You'll play a key role in supporting children with Speech, Communication and Language Needs (SCLN) and those with emerging SEN.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
- Deliver small group interventions focused on communication and early development
- Support speech and language activities set by SEN staff
- Help create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo
What We're Looking For:
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent in an Early Years related subject)
- Experience supporting SEN in EYFS
- Strong understanding of SCLN and early development
- Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
- Confident working both 1:1 and with small groups
