If you’re passionate about empowering patients to achieve their fullest potential, we’d love to hear from you! As a Band 6 OT within our dedicated multidisciplinary team, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for patients. You will have the opportunity to build on your clinical skills while also taking on leadership and mentoring responsibilities for junior staff.


In this role, you'll take responsibility for a varied caseload, working with patients to assess their needs and provide interventions aimed at improving independence and functionality. You’ll have the chance to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, where your clinical reasoning and judgement will make a direct impact on patient outcomes.


You will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor junior members of staff, sharing your knowledge, expertise and passion for Occupational Therapy. You will be involved in key aspects of team development, teaching and contributing to clinical audits to improve the service we provide.


Clinical Expertise & Patient Care
• Conduct assessments to evaluate patients’ cognitive, sensory,visual and postural needs.
• Develop personalised therapy plans to promote independence in self-care, productivity and leisure.
• Manage a caseload of varying complexity,demonstrating strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Prescribe andmonitor assistive equipment, ensuring proper usage and training.


Leadership & Supervision
• Mentor and supervisejunior staff and students, providing guidance and training.
• Take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the therapy team leader, overseeing the OT caseload.
• Facilitate learning by providing teaching and formal supervision to staff and students.


Communication & Collaboration
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families,carers and other healthcare professionals.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
• Ensureaccurate and timely documentation using electronic patient records.



Professional Development & Research
• Stay updated with best practice guidelines, contributing to service improvement through audits and research.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through training and conferences.
• Support OT students and staff training across disciplines.
