As a Leisure Club Assistant, you will be expected to support the team with all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the facilities. You will supervise users of the facilities and provide assistance to guests. Complete inductions for new clients to the club
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
- Maintain the fitness center cleanliness and supply, including wiping down machines, taking towels to laundry and removing rubbish. Maintain an adequate supply of cups and water in recreation area.
- A relevant gym or training qualification is essential
- An active pool responder or lifeguard qualification is desirable
- Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform supervisor/manager of low supply items.
- Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members.
- Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
Requirements of the role:
- To be passionate about delivering great service and be guest focused
- Previous experience in a guest facing role
- A passion for spa and wellness
- Attention to details and ability to multitask duties
- Knowledge of spa booking systems preferred but not necessary
- Flexibility to work varied hours to include evenings and weekends
- Experience with handling guests queries and complaints
- To be willing to learn new things and work as part of a wide hotel team
