Summary

Data Administration Assistant (Female)

The Nelson Trust is a charity working across the Southwest to support people with multiple and complex needs. Our Women’s Centres provide safe, supportive spaces where women can access tailored support to make positive, lasting change.

The Data Administration Assistant plays a key role in supporting our Women’s Community Services at Swindon Women’s Centre, ensuring the accurate collection, management and reporting of service data within a trauma-informed, women-centred environment.


Salary: £24,500 per annum pro rata

Location: Swindon

Hours: 17.5 hours per week

Holidays: 25 days pa plus statutory pro rata

Pension: Auto enrolment pension (6% employer contribution)


What you will do:

Input and maintain service data including referrals, client records, attendance, outcomes, and activity data

Monitor shared mailboxes and support referral tracking and administration

Maintain secure, confidential, and well organised electronic records in line with data protection requirements

Quality check, clean, and manage datasets to ensure accurate reporting

Produce routine and ad hoc reports, including basic tables, charts, and dashboards

Analyse numerical and performance data to identify trends and outcomes

Respond to data related queries and promote good data recording practices

Contribute to the development and improvement of data systems and processes

What we are looking for:

Experience in data administration, data input, reporting, and basic data analysis

Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and confidence using reporting or visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)

High attention to detail, with the ability to manage accurate records and datasets

Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills

Ability to manage a varied workload with minimal supervision

Good literacy and numeracy skills

Ability to work sensitively within a trauma‑informed, women centred environment
