Key responsibilities

The carer will live in the client's home and have the following responsibilities:
• Manage and administer medicines
• Support hygiene and toileting needs
• Buy groceries and prepare meals
• Provide overnight reassurance
• Provide palliative and end-of-life care as needed


About the client
==========================
AGE: 81 years old
MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Brain tumour
ADDITIONAL HEALTH NEEDS: George is currently mobile and well, but cannot prepare his own meals. He would benefit from a carer who can drive and accompany him on outings. He remains alert and engaged but tends to tire towards the end of the day. He requires prompting with incontinence care and meals. His adult children live approximately one hour away.

Work environment

The client's home is smoke-free and pet-free. The property is situated in a rural location near Barnard Castle and is accessed via a car track approximately 1 mile long.

Requirements
==========================
• Fluent English speaker (essential)
• Current driving licence and access to a car (a vehicle will be provided)
• Ability to work as a live-in carer on a 4 days on, 3 days off rotating schedule (72 hours per week)
