We are looking for a full-time Senior Finance Assistant to join our Finance team on a fixed-term basis, based mainly at our Norwich campus but who are able to work flexibly at our Easton and Paston campuses when required. This role has been created to provide additional support during a period of change, as the College prepares to implement a new accounting system. You will support the Finance Transactions Supervisor in the processing, reviewing and reconciliation of financial transactions, with a strong and specific focus on sales ledger income, invoicing and banking activities.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working within a sales ledger function, managing income processes from customer setup and invoice creation through to receipt allocation and reconciliation. You will be responsible for ensuring income is accurately recorded, banked and reconciled in a timely manner and for resolving queries relating to customer accounts.
You will need a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, strong excel skills and experience of working to deadlines and maintaining robust financial controls. Experience of working through an accounting system change or system implementation would be highly desirable, as you will play a key role in supporting the transition and maintaining business-as-usual activity throughout the change period. Experience of sales ledger activity within an education environment would be desirable but is not essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves providing professional and responsive customer service to students, staff and external organisations, as well as working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve income and invoicing queries.
We offer a supportive team environment, flexible working across campuses and the opportunity to gain valuable experience of working through a significant systems change within a large finance function.
Closing date: Sunday 10 May 2026 at Midnight
Interviews: will be held on 19/20 May 2026
