Duties of a Roadside Vehicle Technician:
- Respond promptly to roadside breakdown assistance requests within Guildford and Surrey region
- Diagnose and repair a diverse range of vehicles, from city cars to 4x4s and commercial vehicles, on-site
- Work independently using a fully equipped company van
- Accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic issues and implement effective repairs
- Communicate professionally with customers in distressing situations, offering reassurance and support
- As a Roadside Vehicle Technician maintain accurate records of work carried out and vehicle details
- Ensure safety procedures are adhered to at all times, and vehicle recovery is completed efficiently
Requirements of a Roadside Vehicle Technician :
- Qualified to at least IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic issues on a wide range of vehicles
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads methodically
- Friendly, calm, and charismatic personality to represent the company positively in customer interactions
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with shifts scheduled a week in advance
