Summary
The Lead Nurse for Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy holds overall responsibility for the professional nursing leadership, operational delivery, and continuous development of services across both hospital sites. The role encompasses oversight of inpatient, outpatient and specialist services, ensuring care is delivered in line with best practice, national guidance and Trust priorities. You will lead on the development and implementation of innovative models of care, driving improvements in quality, safety, patient experience and outcomes. This includes analysing complex performance, workforce and patient feedback data to inform service redesign and deliver measurable improvements. The post holder will work collaboratively across organisational boundaries, building strong multidisciplinary and external partnerships to enhance integrated pathways of care. You will also be responsible for embedding a strong governance framework, ensuring robust risk management, compliance, and learning from incidents and complaints to continuously improve services. A key element of the role is developing and supporting teams, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability and continuous professional development.
