Join Our Team as an Admin Assistant - Support Services Administration (Band 2)

Location: Leyland
Contract: Full-time, temporary until March 2027
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

What you'll be doing:
Our client, a reputable government establishment, is hiring for a dedicated Admin Assistant to support daily routine transactional administrative tasks within their team. Your role will involve providing essential administrative assistance, maintaining accurate filing systems, and responding to queries related to your area of work. This is a non-operational position with no line management responsibilities, focused on ensuring smooth and efficient support services.

Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with administrative tasks to support team operations
* Maintaining and updating filing and record-keeping systems
* Responding to and redirecting queries related to your area of work
* Supporting the team to deliver a high-quality service

What you'll bring:
* Confidence in communicating effectively in English (or Welsh if specified in Wales)
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Ability to handle routine tasks efficiently and accurately
* A proactive approach to supporting team objectives

Essential skills and qualifications:

Additional information:

* HMPPS vetting process may take approximately 6 weeks, this must be cleared before the sucessful applicant can start
