We’re excited to offer an incredible opportunity for an Engineering Planner to join our dedicated and professional engineering
support team in Nottingham!

Role Details:
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4pm
Role Type: Permanent, Full Time Role
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000
Your Duties Will Include:
* Ensure compliance with food safety, technical, and legislative standards.
* Identify and drive improvements in product quality and engineering performance.
* Promote Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across the engineering function.
* Complete risk assessments for all planned maintenance activities.
* Monitor and report maintenance costs, including labour and parts usage.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the true cost of asset downtime.
* Plan and prioritise maintenance work in line with site priorities.
* Determine required resources, materials, and parts for maintenance tasks.
* Liaise with stores to ensure availability of necessary components.
* Identify skill gaps and training needs to strengthen team capability.
* Ensure access to maintenance manuals, tools, and diagnostic resources.
* Communicate effectively and manage stakeholder expectations.
* Drive continuous improvement in plant, processes, safety, and quality.
* Support cost-benefit analysis to reduce maintenance requirements.
* Track and analyse downtime, failure rates, and recurring issues.
* Record and evaluate maintenance costs.
About You:
* You will have an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree (BSc, HND or HNC), or a degree in related Engineering fields.
Alternatively, you may have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification with time-served experiences.
* 2+ years’ experience within food manufacturing or similar environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
* Experience using CMMS
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office Package
* Understanding of RCM and different maintenance strategies.
* Understanding of FMEA and Root Cause Analysis.
