About the role
Job Title: Kitchen Porter
School Location: Westonbirt School, Tetbury, GL8 8QG
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Shifts & Working hours: 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm or 10am-5pm or 11am-7pm (40 hours per week)
Working Weeks: 38 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)
Pay Details: £21,352.80 per Annum
What will I be doing?
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly, ensuring everything is clean, organised, and ready for service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Washing pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery using an industrial dishwasher or by hand as required
Checking incoming deliveries, ensuring stock is correct, and storing it safely
Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times
Supporting the catering team to provide a friendly, efficient, and high-quality service to all customers
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and ready to be part of a busy catering team.
Experience in catering, retail, or customer service is helpful, but not essential
A positive, team-focused attitude
Willingness to follow food hygiene and safety standards
Reliability and pride in maintaining high standards
No formal qualifications are required—we’ll support you to develop your skills and grow within the business.
