Summary
At Lime Tree Nursery, we believe early years education should be inspiring, creative and full of possibilities for children and for our team.
As a family-run group with multiple nurseries across Rotherham, Sheffield, Barnsley and North Nottinghamshire, we create warm, home-from-home environments where children aged 0–5 can explore, question and thrive. We are excited to share that we are expanding our eight nursery settings to twelve in the coming months. The first new addition will be opening in Thorpe Hesley and we have more settings opening in the coming months around Rotherham and Barnsley.
All our nurseries are inspired by The Curiosity Approach, and we champion child-led learning, natural resources and meaningful play experiences that spark creativity and build confident, independent learners.
We are now looking for passionate and experienced Room Leaders to guide one of our nursery rooms, inspire a small team, and help deliver outstanding early years education. We are hiring at multiple locations including Athersley, Carlton-in-Lindrick, Thrybergh, East Dene, North Anston, Maltby, and Thorpe Hesley.
No two days are the same at Lime Tree, and that’s exactly how we like it!
As Room Leader, you will:
Lead and motivate a team of practitioners within your room
Deliver a high-quality, engaging EYFS curriculum
Create stimulating, enabling indoor and outdoor learning environments
Monitor planning, observations and assessments to ensure excellent outcomes
Support children’s development through child-led, meaningful experiences
Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
Ensure safeguarding, welfare and Ofsted standards are consistently met
Act as a role model for best practice and professionalism
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident Level 3 practitioner ready to take the next step, or an experienced Room Leader looking for a supportive, forward-thinking nursery group.
What We’re Looking For
Level 3 (or above) in Early Years is essential
Experience leading or supporting a nursery room
Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
Experience with planning, assessment and tracking progress
Excellent leadership and communication skills
A proactive, organised and child-centred approach
Passion for mentoring and developing others
Why Join Lime Tree?

Flexible working hours
Qualification-related pay
Discounted childcare
Half-day paid birthday leave

If you’re ready to make a real difference every single day and want to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking nursery group where your ideas and enthusiasm are valued, we’d love to hear from you.
