Summary
Hazel Tree Education is currently recruiting Support Workers to work with children and young people in residential and supported living settings.
This is a full-time, shift-based role with sleep-ins paid additionally. A 2 on / 4 off rota is offered to support a healthy work–life balance.
The client are looking for care-experienced young people aged 16–18, including those with emotional and behavioural needs (SEMH).
It is essential that you have a valid driving licence, and have access to your own vehicle with business insurance.
Role Overview
As a Support Worker, you will:
Work as part of a professional care team to support young people’s daily needs
Build positive, consistent relationships as a key worker
Support care plans tailored to individual needs and goals
Encourage independence, personal development, and life skills
Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies
Support with daily routines, activities, education, and social engagement
Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
A genuine passion for supporting young people
Understanding of emotional and behavioural challenges
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliability, honesty, and a safeguarding-focused approach
Willingness to work shifts, including sleep-ins
Full UK Driving Licence required
Training & Development
Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Regular supervision and support
Opportunities for long-term progression within the sector
