Summary
We are currently recruiting experienced and reliable Agency Chefs to work in care homes across the local area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for chefs looking for flexible shifts, competitive pay, and rewarding work supporting vulnerable people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to residents' dietary needs
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently during shifts
- Ensure compliance with care home regulations and allergen guidelines
- Work independently and adapt to different kitchen environments
Requirements:
- Valid Enhanced DBS certificate (essential)
- Previous experience as a chef (care home or similar environment preferred)
- Knowledge of special diets (e.g. soft diets, diabetic, allergen-aware cooking)
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
