About the role
Are you passionate about creating meaningful content that connects people?
You’ll be joining a busy and creative Communications and Marketing team where no two days are the same. In this varied and hands-on role, you’ll support the delivery of a full communications and marketing mix – from social media and digital content to campaigns, advertising and design.
You’ll play a key role in building on our established digital channels, helping us communicate clearly and creatively with colleagues, businesses and customers to promote and deliver our services. This is a fixed-term full time role for two years and offers a great opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive, fast-paced public sector environment.
In person interviews are planned for Thursday 21st May
What will you be doing?
You’ll work across the communications and marketing team, supporting both internal and external activity and helping campaigns run smoothly from idea to delivery. Your day-to-day work will include:
• Creating, scheduling and monitoring engaging social media content across multiple platforms, including video
• Developing clear, compelling written content for web pages, articles and news releases
• Assisting with the design and production of marketing and promotional materials
• Supporting marketing campaigns and communications projects from planning through to evaluation
• Monitoring social media channels, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional way
• Organising and maintaining a digital library of images and video assets
• Providing practical administrative support such as managing media lists, arranging printing and raising purchase orders
• Helping track performance and evaluate the impact of campaigns using data and insights
Throughout your work, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues, contribute ideas and ensure communications are accurate, inclusive and customer focused.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible.
About you
You’re a creative self-starter with a genuine interest in communications and marketing. You bring enthusiasm, ideas and a positive attitude, and you enjoy working as part of a team.
You already have experience in a communications, marketing or digital media environment and feel confident working with a range of digital platforms, particularly social media and video.
You enjoy turning ideas into practical, engaging content and are always looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You’re organised, detail-focused and able to juggle different tasks while meeting deadlines.
You’re customer-focused, proactive and happy to use your initiative, while also recognising the importance of collaboration and good communication.
Most importantly, you’re keen to learn, contribute and grow your skills in a role where your creativity and enthusiasm will be valued every day.
