Summary
As a Band 5 Staff Nurse within Paediatrics, you will be responsible for delivering consistently high standards of nursing care in a busy and dynamic clinical environment. You will communicate effectively with children, families and carers, including sharing sensitive or complex information in an empathetic and professional manner. You will use your clinical judgement to make informed decisions about patient care, escalating concerns to senior colleagues when appropriate. The role involves undertaking a range of clinical competencies relevant to an acute paediatric setting and ensuring care is delivered in line with national guidance, Trust policies and safeguarding requirements. You will actively contribute to clinical governance through participation in audits, quality improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of practice. Maintaining your own professional development is essential, and you will be supported through appraisal and ongoing training opportunities.
