Summary
Responsibilities -
Working as part of the Grounds maintenance team dedicated to the establishment and ongoing maintenance of Newley planted shrubs and trees from small shrub beds to large scale woodland planting areas and newly laid turf areas.
You will be given a list of sites to visit throughout your week and sometimes various smaller sites throughout your day to make sure they receive the required amount of water to assist establishment and maintain healthy growth throughout the growing season.
What we are looking for in our ideal candidate –
• Full clean driving license
• Experience in towing, as may be required to tow a water bowser from time to time
• Ability to drive a flatbed pick up equipped with a water tank and powered pump and hose
• Excellent time management skills
• Great communication skills
• Ability to follow a job rota and work to given rounds
• Experience in horticulture and have an understanding of plants, trees and turf would be preferred
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Hold a tractor ticket for the larger watering projects would be an added bonus for the use of a tanker as well as help progression into other areas within the business
