Summary

Secondary Learning Support Assistant - SEN Department - Ilford
Full Time | Term Time Only | ASAP & September Starts Available
Up to £120 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)

We are recruiting a dedicated and proactive Secondary Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Ilford, working within the SEN department to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in SEN support or a strong interest in working with students who require additional support to access the curriculum. You will play a key role in helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support within the SEN department
- Support students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Assist pupils in lessons and during intervention sessions
- Work closely with teachers, SENCo and pastoral teams
- Help implement EHCP targets and support plans
- Promote engagement, independence and inclusion


Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting students with SEN needs (desirable)
- Confidence working in a secondary school environment
- A patient, proactive and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
- Background in education, youth work or care (desirable)
