We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our Site Maintenance team as a Site Assistant.
As a Site Assistant, you will be involved in the maintenance and security of the school premises, ensuring a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.
This is a full time, all year-round post. Working hours will be discussed at interview.
Main duties will be:
• To undertake general repairs and maintenance around the establishment;
• Ensure resources such as cleaning supplies and equipment are stored and maintained appropriately;
• Maintain security of site, opening and closing of premises;
• Operate and regularly check heating, cooling lighting and security systems etc;
• Undertake general porterage duties such as: moving furniture and equipment within the school.
• Some travel between our Kent schools will be expected, for which travel expenses may be claimed.
The successful candidate will:
• Have proficient technical and practical skills relevant to the job;
• Have experience of working in a school or maintenance / building industry;
• Be able to carry out maintenance and other practical tasks, such as basic plumbing, carpentry, electrics, decorating and deep cleaning;
• Have a willingness to undertake appropriate training and professional development.
• Have competency in communication, teamwork, and customer service
• Have an understanding of health and safety
