Summary
We are currently looking for experienced nurses to come and join our team as a Junior Charge Nurse on our surgical at Broomfield Hospital.
Heybridge Ward is part of the the surgical division for Mid and South Essex, undertaking general surgical procedures with a variety of different speciality care such as Upper GI, Colorectal and Urology. The ward also provides high quality care and rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgery for a variety of conditions.
Our ward prides itself in providing a high standard of patient care, experience, and quality service. Our team is friendly, supportive, vibrant and dynamic. Everyone is encouraged to participate as a member of the team in developing their nursing skills. We offer a structured Band 6 competency programme and support to complete mandatory training. We also apply for post graduate courses as they become available.
All applicants do need to have motivation, flexibility, enthusiasm be hardworking and a willingness to learn quickly.
The Junior Charge Nurse, responsibility of managing a 32 bed ward and working closely with the Ward Manager in all staff development and progression.
Provide a high standard of individualised care to patients, acting as a role model and supporting the Ward Manager in driving quality care provision forward
Be responsible for standards of cleanliness in their own clinical area in partnership with the Ward Manager
Actively participate in completion of audits and providing feedback to the team.
Investigate ward incidents providing timely responses and ensure ward feedback.
Provide clear clinical leadership to staff, deputising for the Ward Manager in her/his absence
