About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) Deputy Manager to join a well-established mental health service. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior nurse or current deputy manager looking to take the next step in their leadership career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care, compliance, and team performance. You will play a key role in delivering person-centred care and promoting recovery-focused outcomes for service users.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager in the operational management of the service
Lead, supervise, and develop a team of nurses and support staff
Ensure high standards of care in line with CQC and regulatory requirements
Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and clinical governance
Act as a role model for best practice in mental health nursing
Manage staffing, rotas, and resource allocation effectively
Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence
Promote a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment
Requirements
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC pin
Previous experience in a senior nurse, clinical lead, or deputy manager role
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Sound knowledge of CQC standards and mental health legislation
Experience in managing teams within a mental health or psychiatric setting
Commitment to high-quality, person-centred care
Desirable
Management or leadership qualification
Experience in acute, PICU, forensic, or rehabilitation settings
