Join us as a Tenancy Sustainment Officer and make a difference in your community. You'll have the chance to work from one of our hubs located in Trowbridge, Chippenham, or Salisbury, with opportunities to travel across the county.

In this role, you'll provide vital support to our clients, empowering them to maintain their housing and avoid homelessness. From assisting with benefit applications to managing utilities and connecting them with essential services, you'll play a crucial role in navigating the challenges of the current cost-of-living crisis. Prioritising rent payments and offering budgeting assistance are key aspects of your responsibilities.

Your work will contribute to our efforts to prevent homelessness by safeguarding existing tenancies and reassuring landlords of the support available to their tenants. This approach has proven successful in both retaining housing and exploring alternative options.

We're seeking candidates with a proactive attitude, capable of effectively handling challenging clients resistant to change. Understanding the struggles faced by care experienced young people is essential, as you'll be supporting them in maintaining their accommodation. Empathy, resilience, and strong relationship-building skills are vital, along with knowledge of landlord-tenant law, welfare benefits, budgeting, and IT proficiency.
