Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

• Qualified to teach Food and Nutrition to Key Stage 4
• Strong subject knowledge across Food and Nutrition
• Experience of planning and delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Experience of teaching mixed‑ability groups and adapting effectively to meet the needs of all learners
• Secure understanding of assessment for learning and strategies to support pupil progress and outcomes
• Passion for Food and Nutrition and the ability to inspire pupils to engage with the subject
• High expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour and presentation of work
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to establish positive routines and relationships
• Excellent organisational skills, particularly in managing practical lessons safely and effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a faculty and wider school team
• Commitment to inclusive practice and equality of opportunity for all pupils
• Ability to engage parents and carers in supporting student learning
• High aspirations, enthusiasm, passion and drive
• Professional, reflective and open to feedback and development
• Reliable, resilient and adaptable within a busy school environment
• Team player, able to lead, influence and motivate
