Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

About the Role As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with identified students, delivering targeted interventions to small groups and individuals. You will support learners in overcoming barriers to achievement, building confidence, and developing the skills they need to succeed both in and beyond the classroom.


Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured intervention programmes tailored to students’ needs
• Support students in developing positive learning behaviours and resilience
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and families
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions, adapting approaches where needed
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine commitment to supporting young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
• The ability to inspire, motivate, and build positive relationships
• An organised and reflective approach to practice
