Job Description
Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant with a natural talent for leadership? We are seeking a dedicated Senior HCA / Team Leader to join our care team in Lewes. This is a vital role designed for a professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards of care while mentoring and supervising a team of support staff.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of HCAs to ensure the delivery of person-centered care.
Care Planning: Manage and update digital care plans using the Nourish platform.
Quality Assurance: Monitor care standards and ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies.
Medication Management: Oversee safe medication administration and recording.
Communication: Act as a key point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Shift Management: Coordinate daily tasks and staffing to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.
Requirements
Experience: Proven track record of leading teams in a residential or nursing care setting (Essential).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using digital care planning tools, specifically Nourish (Highly Desirable).
Right to Work: Applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK. Please note: We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
Qualities: Strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a "leads by example" attitude.
