PE Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for PE Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Thame and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons across a range of year groups.
Duties as PE Teacher:
- Deliver engaging PE lessons using provided plans
- Lead practical sports activities safely indoors and outdoors
- Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and positive participation in sport
- Adapt activities to support pupils of differing abilities and confidence levels
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Encourage resilience, cooperation, and healthy lifestyle habits
- Support extracurricular sporting activities where required
- Assess and monitor pupil progress when needed
Ideal PE Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education and sport
- Confident leading practical lessons in a range of sporting activities
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of mixed abilities
- Adaptable across different year groups and school environments
- Organised, professional, and enthusiastic about PE
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
