Summary

PE Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately


These flexible opportunities are ideal for PE Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Thame and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons across a range of year groups.

Duties as PE Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons using provided plans
  • Lead practical sports activities safely indoors and outdoors
  • Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and positive participation in sport
  • Adapt activities to support pupils of differing abilities and confidence levels
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Encourage resilience, cooperation, and healthy lifestyle habits
  • Support extracurricular sporting activities where required
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress when needed

Ideal PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education and sport
  • Confident leading practical lessons in a range of sporting activities
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of mixed abilities
  • Adaptable across different year groups and school environments
  • Organised, professional, and enthusiastic about PE
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
