St Michael with St Thomas is a one form entry Church of England Primary School based in Widnes. We nurture and care for our children in a Christian Ethos, placing our children and their family at the centre of our work.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic catering supervisor to join our excellent primary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appealing meals for pupils, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of pupils through quality meal provision in a supportive educational environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Planning and preparing nutritious, balanced meals that meet government nutritional standards
• Managing daily kitchen operations, including supervising assistants and ordering stock
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness
• Adhering to school safeguarding and child protection policies
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a school environment
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations (Level 2 preferred)
• A positive, reliable and friendly attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Strong organisational skills
