Summary
We operate the UK’s ONLY flexible multi-temp, shared customer delivery logistics network. We buy, warehouse, pick and distribute the entire stock that goes into our customer’s stores across the UK, priding ourselves on quality of service.
We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Team Manager to join our Warehouse Team. In this role, you’ll lead and inspire our Warehouse Operatives, driving daily performance to meet productivity goals and deliver excellent customer service.
- Lead by example to maintain safety, performance, and morale standards; promote a respectful and achievement-oriented work environment
- Train, coach, and support team members to meet operational standards; identify development needs and conduct 3/7/11 probation reviews
- Motivate staff through clear communication of targets, recognition, and constructive feedback
- Ensure delivery of internal/external customer requirements by managing shift demands and resolving issues effectively
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and food safety compliance across the warehouse
- Ensure team understanding and adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation (e.g., Health & Safety, Food Safety)
- Lead or support disciplinary and grievance processes
- Monitor team behaviour, attendance, and payroll accuracy; escalate concerns or trends as needed
- Minimise stock loss and credit costs through proactive management and oversight
- Build positive relationships across departments and management teams
- Demonstrate flexibility in working shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays, to meet operational needs
To be successful in this role you’ll have working knowledge of the Warehouse function within the FMCG distribution industry as well as working knowledge of the business and operational aspects of supervising a depot Warehouse operation. General knowledge of the Transport function would be an advantage.
As you will be leading a team of warehouse operatives, you’ll have excellent communication skills and have the ability to manage & train colleagues. Your computer skills will be important too as you will be using the MS Office suite on a daily basis for reporting and formal processes.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have demonstrable experience in a Team Leader or Warehouse Management position.
