About You
• Previous experience in bookkeeping, ideally within an accountancy practice or similar environment
• You should live within a 15-mile radius of Princes Risborough as this is a full time office based job – no hybrid option is available
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Ability to research and present findings with accuracy and clarity
• Able to type with good speed and accuracy
• Strong attention to detail for entering data and identifying errors in financial records
• Solid math skills for precise record-keeping
• Strong administrative and organisational skills for managing and filing financial records
The Role
• Maintaining accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients
• Processing sales and purchase ledgers, including invoicing and supplier payments
• Performing regular bank reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
• Maintaining and updating accounting software records
• Setting up new payroll and pension schemes
• Processing weekly and monthly payrolls
• Processing CIS claims
• Maintaining accurate payroll records for clients
• Processing year-end and issuing P60s
• Submitting information to pension companies where appropriate
• Communicating with clients concerning their bookkeeping and payroll requirements
