We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Farm Manager to join our team at a busy, family-friendly farm attraction open to the public all year round.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on farming while also being part of a visitor-focused environment – combining animal care, team collaboration, and public engagement.
The Role
As Farm Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the farm. You’ll ensure high standards of animal welfare while helping create an engaging and educational experience for visitors.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily care and management of farm animals
• Take the lead on sheep welfare and ensure best practices are followed
• Maintain high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and husbandry
• Manage feeding routines, health checks, and general livestock care
• Support breeding programmes and seasonal farm activities
• Maintain enclosures, paddocks, and overall farm presentation
• Deliver talks, demonstrations, and interactive visitor sessions
• Support school visits, events, and peak holiday periods
• Work closely with the wider farm and visitor experience team
About You
• Proven experience in farm or livestock management
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with sheep
• Solid understanding of animal welfare and husbandry standards
• Confident, friendly, and comfortable engaging with the public
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Agricultural qualification (desirable but not essential)
