£17.50 per hour (Days) | £17.50 + attractive shift allowance to be confirmed at interview stage.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
- Friday: 08:00 - 15:30
About the Role
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a well-established company based in West Bromwich. This role involves working on water pipe systems, carrying out high-quality fabrication and welding to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and pipework layouts
- Measure, cut, and shape metal pipes to precise specifications
- Assemble pipe sections, fittings, valves, and supports
- Carry out welding using MIG, TIG, and MMA (arc) techniques
- Ensure all welds are strong, accurate, and leak-proof
- Install and align pipe systems both in the workshop and on-site
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication
- Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, and MMA (arc) welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and pipe schematics
- Experience working with pipe systems and associated fittings
- Skilled in the use of fabrication tools (cutting, grinding, bending)
- Knowledge of materials including carbon steel and stainless steel
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
