Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hard-working, and outgoing Telephonist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a friendly and confident personality who enjoys speaking with people and can deliver a professional and welcoming experience to all callers. Ideally, the successful candidate will have good local knowledge of the Taunton and Somerset area.

Key Responsibilities:
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally
Take accurate messages and ensure they are delivered to the appropriate person or department
Provide clear and helpful information to callers and handle general enquiries
Support administrative tasks as needed
Deliver excellent customer service with a positive and approachable attitude

Requirements:
Outgoing, friendly, and confident communication style
Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
High level of attention to detail and vigilance
Reliable, punctual, and committed to the role
Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

Working Hours:
Ideally full-time, but part-time hours will be considered
Flexibility required, with the possibility of weekend shifts
