HR Apprentice – Kickstart Your Career in HR
Are you ready to take your first step into the world of Human Resources?
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Apprentice to join our team, across a unique and fast-paced multi-venue business within the horse and greyhound industry.
This is more than just an apprenticeship — it’s your chance to gain real, hands-on experience in HR while working towards a Level 3 HR Support qualification, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
What You’ll Be Doing
No two days will be the same. You’ll play a key role in supporting HR operations while learning the foundations of a successful HR career:
Supporting day-to-day HR administration including data entry, filing, and maintaining records
Assisting with recruitment – posting vacancies, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates
Helping onboard new employees, preparing induction materials and organising sessions
Maintaining accurate employee records in line with data protection regulations
Supporting training and development activities, including booking sessions and tracking attendance
Getting involved in HR projects such as employee engagement initiatives and process improvements
Using and maintaining the HR system (HRIS), including running reports and updating information
Acting as a first point of contact for basic employee queries, escalating where needed
Assisting with ensuring compliance with employment laws and keeping HR policies up to date
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, highly organised, and ready to grow:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A genuine interest in HR and a desire to develop a long-term career
Join us on the journey
We’re on a thrilling journey—and we’d love you to be part of it. Join a winning team, build your career, and help shape an exceptional workplace. Apply today and take the next step with ARC.
At ARC, we believe that a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace makes us a more relevant, more competitive, and more resilient company. We welcome people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences. We are an equal opportunities employer and do not discriminate on the grounds of gender, sexual orientation, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, gender reassignment, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, disability or age. We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements.
If you have a disability that requires reasonable adjustments, please let us know; we will ensure that individuals with additional needs are provided reasonable adjustments to participate in the job application or interview process and to perform essential job functions.
We understand the value that diversity brings to our business and we are striving to create a working environment that is inclusive, psychologically and physically safe and ensures everyone can be heard and valued for their contributions. We are committed to making a consistent, top-down effort to be role models on what diversity, inclusion and belonging means in society.
