Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food, catering, and hospitality, looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic setting. The successful candidate will play a vital part in meal preparation, food safety, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Duties
Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and organising supplies
Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Help with stock control, including receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils and equipment and sanitising surfaces
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Support the catering team during service periods
Experience
Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience in meal preparation or culinary roles is desirable but not mandatory
A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and organisation
