Occupational Health Advisor Job Overview (London)
We are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) or Occupational Health Nurse (RGN, SCPHN qualified) to deliver a full Occupational Health service across multiple client sites in Acton and West London.

This is a field-based Occupational Health role providing case management, health surveillance, fitness for work assessments, medical reporting, and workplace health advice. You will work closely with managers, employees, and stakeholders to support safe working practices and employee wellbeing.

This role is ideal for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse, Occupational Health Advisor, or OH Practitioner looking for a varied, multi-site London position.

Key Responsibilities – Occupational Health Advisor Role

Deliver full Occupational Health services including consultations, advice, and clinical assessments
Conduct Occupational Health case management and fitness for work assessments
Provide clear Occupational Health advice to employees, managers, and stakeholders
Carry out health surveillance programmes in line with UK legislation
Undertake drug and alcohol testing (D&A testing) where required
Produce clinical reports and GP/specialist referrals under AMRA and Data Protection Act
Manage and respond to Occupational Health queries from clients and managers
Maintain accurate Occupational Health records in line with NMC standards
Support management of workplace medical incidents
Promote workplace wellbeing and health promotion initiatives
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health legislation, clinical governance, and GDPR
Support Occupational Health nursing colleagues through training and development
Travel between multiple Occupational Health client sites in West London
Required Skills & Experience – Occupational Health Nurse / Advisor
To be considered for this Occupational Health Advisor role, you must have:

Essential:
Registered Nurse (RGN – Part 1)
Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (Degree or Diploma)
Strong experience in Occupational Health case management
Experience delivering Occupational Health advice and fitness for work decisions
Strong understanding of Occupational Health legislation and compliance
Excellent communication skills with managers, employees, and stakeholders
Strong IT skills and ability to maintain accurate electronic records
Good knowledge of data protection, confidentiality, and GDPR in Occupational Health

Desirable:
Experience in health surveillance programmes
Experience in drug and alcohol testing (D&A testing)
Background in Occupational Health advisory services in multi-site environments

Working Pattern – Occupational Health Advisor London
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday
Core hours between 08:00 – 18:00
Based across Acton and surrounding West London Occupational Health sites
Travel required between client locations
