Leeds Primary School | Full-Time, Long-Term | Up to £560 per week

We're recruiting a Graduate Speech and Language Therapist for a Leeds-based primary school, supporting pupils aged 4–11 with a range of speech, language and communication needs across the school community.

The Role – Graduate Speech and Language Therapist

You'll work alongside experienced staff to deliver support through 1:1 sessions, small groups and class-based activities. You'll assist with assessments, contribute to intervention plans and help produce reports to inform EHCPs and annual reviews. Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience while helping to build whole-school communication capacity.

Start Date: April 2026

    Ideal Candidate – Graduate Speech and Language Therapist

    • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or awaiting final results)
    • A genuine passion for supporting children's communication and language development
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach
    • Eagerness to learn and develop within a school-based setting
    • Enhanced DBS check (child workforce) — or willingness to obtain one

      Desirable:

      • Placement experience in primary, early years or SEND settings
      • Familiarity with early language development and phonological difficulties
      • Proactive, solution-focused and enthusiastic about inclusion
