A specialist provision in Manchester is urgently seeking a committed and resilient Student Behaviour & Resilience Mentor to support secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is more than a role-it's an opportunity to step in at a crucial moment, helping students rebuild confidence, develop positive behaviours, and reconnect with education.

- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Use calm, consistent strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
- Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and stability
- Support teachers in delivering tailored learning activities
- Promote resilience, self-regulation, and positive decision-making
- Help maintain a structured, safe, and supportive environment
- Encourage pupils to make positive choices and rebuild confidence
- Has experience supporting young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
- Comes from a background in education, youth work, care, sports coaching, or alternative provision
- Remains calm, resilient, and confident in challenging situations
- Builds strong relationships quickly and effectively
- Communicates clearly and works well within a team
- Is passionate about helping young people succeed
- Is looking for a long-term opportunity with potential for permanent employment
