Pay Rate: £102 - £115 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision in Ashton-under-Lyne. This full-time role is available for an immediate start or from September, offering a fantastic opportunity to support young people who require a more tailored and supportive educational environment.

The provision supports students with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, autism, and behavioural challenges. You will play a key role in helping students re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND and SEMH needs
- Assist in delivering personalised learning activities and interventions
- Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff

Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, SEMH, or challenging behaviour
- A patient, calm, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
