What you will bring to the role In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and delivering education and training within the service, while leading and supporting a dedicated team. Duties include: Leading, developing and delivering education and training across the service, working with the E&T Lead to support workforce development. Planning and delivering specialist education programmes, including oversight of the inhouse training programme, ensuring materials, documentation and competency assessments are current, compliant and aligned with GMP and best practice. Supporting the training, assessment and ongoing development of technical and support staff against agreed competency frameworks, in collaboration with QA, workforce colleagues, education teams and external providers. Acting as an Educational Supervisor, mentor and coach for staff undertaking pharmacy qualifications, apprenticeships and other learning programmes. Identifying and resolving education and training issues, including performance concerns and conflict, in a fair and supportive manner. Contributing to competency framework development and supporting recruitment, induction and retention initiatives. Providing operational support to the Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit, including supervision, accuracy checking and maintaining patient safety within a GMP aseptic environment. Contributing to management team activities, including service planning, continuous improvement and workforce development initiatives.
