Summary
3-month fixed term contract based in our Milton Keynes office 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to support our supply chain function during a busy period. The role will provide day-to-day operational support across coffee machines, spare parts, and cleaning products, assisting with purchasing, reporting, data analysis, and ad-hoc supply chain tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Purchasing Support:
· Raise and manage purchase orders in line with demand and stock requirements
· Monitor order confirmations, delivery dates, and supplier communications
· Support the management of inbound deliveries and resolve delivery issues
· Assist with spare parts, machine, and consumables replenishment
Reporting & Analysis:
· Prepare regular and ad-hoc supply chain reports (stock levels, backorders, slow-moving stock, customer owned, etc.)
· Support month-end reporting activities
· Maintain and update spreadsheets and system data accurately
· Assist with stock reconciliation and data validation
Inventory & Operational Support:
· Support stock takes, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives
· Assist in identifying stock risks, shortages, or excess inventory
· Help maintain accurate master data (SKUs, suppliers, pricing, lead times)
Ad-Hoc & Project Support:
· Provide flexible support across the supply chain team as required
· Assist with process improvement initiatives and documentation
· Support cross-functional communication
The Person
· Previous experience in a supply chain admin, purchasing admin, or operations support role
· Proactive, organised and methodical with strong Excel and data handling skills
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
· Experience working with ERP or stock management systems (Desirable)
· Understanding of inventory management or procurement processes
· Experience in a technical, engineering, or FMCG environment (Desirable)
