We’re working with a privately owned investment business with a diverse portfolio across the UK and internationally. The organisation operates across sectors including property, drinks, and hospitality, and is seeking a qualified accountant to support its continued growth.
This is a broad, hands-on role offering exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to take ownership of financial processes across multiple entities. It provides a unique chance to join a growing and entrepreneurial business with real breadth and visibility, working closely with senior leadership while playing a key role in supporting both financial control and commercial activity across the group.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function across a number of group companies, while also supporting commercial decision-making and operational activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining and reconciling financial records across multiple entities (Xero)
• Producing and managing a detailed weekly cashflow forecast, including reforecasting
• Coordinating weekly supplier payment runs for approval
• Submitting VAT returns and overseeing compliance
• Managing payroll processes
• Liaising regularly with internal teams and external stakeholders across the portfolio
• Supporting budgeting and tracking project spend vs. actuals
• Raising and issuing invoices to tenants and related parties
• Responding to ad hoc requests from senior leadership
• Supporting with operational tasks such as insurance renewals
• Assisting with basic HR administration (e.g. contracts, holiday tracking)
About You
• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent)
• At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience
• Experience in property, manufacturing, hospitality, or a multi-entity environment preferred
• Strong Excel and systems skills (Xero experience advantageous)
• Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator, comfortable working with non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to get involved across the business
