Summary
Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home
Up to £55,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme | Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week
Our client runs a small children's residential home providing care and support for young people with a range of needs. Backed by a strong management support structure, this is a home where the Registered Manager is set up to succeed - with the resources, guidance, and team around them to lead with confidence and truly make a difference to the lives of the children in their care.
They are now looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to take the helm and drive outstanding outcomes for their young people.

What Our Client Is Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar children's residential environment at a senior level — essential
- Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People's Workforce — essential
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People's Management) — achieved or actively working towards
- Strong working knowledge of The Children Act 1989, Children's Home Regulations, and safeguarding procedures
- Proven experience managing budgets within a residential setting
- Full, clean driving licence — essential
- Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties as required
- A genuine, unwavering commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people
Key Responsibilities
- Taking full responsibility for the leadership, management, and day-to-day running of the home
- Ensuring compliance with Children's Home Regulations, The Children Act 1989, and all relevant safeguarding legislation
- Leading, supporting, and developing a dedicated staff team with a shared commitment to the children
- Managing the home's budget and overseeing financial performance
- Acting as Registered Manager with Ofsted, managing inspections and regulatory requirements
- Safeguarding all young people in line with current legislation and best practice
- Building effective relationships with local authorities, families, and multi-agency professionals
- Carrying out on-call duties and working flexibly to meet the needs of the home
