Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Assistant to join our team to provide general business support on a full time, permanent basis. The job will be working closely with the Quantity Surveyor and the Buyer as an integral part of the division's commercial team.

Key duties will include:

• Encompassing support to the team
• Placing purchase orders with suppliers in conjunction with our Buyer
• Processing payments to sub contractors, working with our Quantity Surveyor to process payments
• Liaising with sub contractors
• Verifying, recording and processing timesheets to ensure payment and cost control
• Identifying and recommending ideas to continually improve our performance
• Working as a close knit team, where we support each other

What we are looking for
• Great ability to communicate well
• Capability to learn the important aspects of our business
• An ability to negotiate to a positive outcome
• The role operates to a high degree with Microsoft Word and Excel, which we are more than happy to train the successful candidate in
• As the role involves travel to our sites and other offices a full UK Driving Licence is essential
• Experience with accounting software is a benefit (albeit not essential as training will be given)

What we can offer
This is a full time position with working hours of 0800 – 1700, Monday to Friday and will be based at our dedicated Homes office on Doddington Road, Lincoln. Salary will be commensurate with experience, skill level and qualifications.
