Summary
The postholder will:Maintain an active professional registration, abide by the appropriate Code of Conduct, andensure full compliance with revalidation requirements, with an emphasis on appropriateupdating of skills and knowledge appropriate and relevant to the post.Adhere to the host Trust strategy, policies and procedures and promote the core values ofboth the Trust and Network.Use their expert nursing knowledge to provide strategic leadership and advice to supportthe development of nurse staffing models which support sustainable and high-quality carein neonatal services. Will work alongside and deputise for the Network Director/Lead Nurse, to continuallyimprove, and develop, successful strategies to address the local, regional and nationalneonatal strategic agendas.Work as part of the Network Senior Team, which comprises, Network Director/Lead Nurseand Clinical LeadsProvide professional and clinical leadership to multi-professionals working across the ODN.Will be responsible for the delivery of any nationally mandated outputs in collaboration withthe Network Director/Lead Nurse.Will champion a culture of improvement, safety and governance through robust governancearrangements, contributing to ODN development, and supporting providers throughbenchmarking and sharing of best practice.Be specifically accountable for the allocation of national workforce funding allocationsacross 11 neonatal units, in order to achieve neonatal service development commitmentson behalf of the Regional and National Team.Be able to challenge practice if required within either the Network Team or in one of theconstituent Trusts within the Network Become familiar with each units policies and guidelines for practice/procedures, and abideby, and contribute to, the further development of them.Ensure that confidentiality is promoted and maintained at all times commensurate with therole, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment tothose acting in an official capacity in accordance with the Trust and ODN-wide polices aswell as the Network Data sharing agreement and current legislation including GDPR
