They are now looking to recruit an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to support ongoing operations.
The Role
This position involves operating rigid vehicles with trailer capability, requiring a Class 1 (C+E) licence. The work is local and structured, with early morning starts and predictable daily hours.
This role will appeal to drivers who prefer consistent routes, steady workloads, and regular start times rather than tramping or multi‑drop driving.
Key Responsibilities
Operating vehicles fitted with specialist loading equipment
Handling trailers when required, in line with operational needs
Starting shifts between 02:00 and 04:00
Driving vehicles with semi‑automatic gearboxes
Ensuring loads are secured safely
Adhering to all road safety, tachograph, and transport regulations
Completing daily vehicle checks and paperwork
Pay & Benefits
£16.40 per hour for the first 8 hours
£24.60 per hour overtime (time and a half after 8 hours)
Typical shifts of around 10 hours per day

Candidate Requirements
A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
Previous experience in vehicle and trailer operations
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Comfortable with early morning starts
Confident driving vehicles with semi‑automatic transmissions
