Summary

Events and Recruitment Officer
Engagement, Brand & Marketing
Fixed-term/full time maternity cover – available ASAP until April 2027

The Royal College of Art is seeking an organised, proactive and people-focused Events and Recruitment Officer to join our Engagement, Brand & Marketing team.

This role sits within Student Recruitment & Marketing, a key function responsible for attracting applicants to the RCA and supporting student recruitment revenue. Choosing to study at the RCA is a significant decision — particularly for students relocating to London from across the UK and internationally — and this role plays a vital part in ensuring prospective students feel informed, confident and welcomed throughout their journey.

About the role

You will support the planning and delivery of a wide range of UK and international recruitment events, both in person and online. From portfolio reviews and presentations to Open Days and Offer Holder events, you will help create engaging experiences that allow prospective students to connect directly with the RCA community.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating logistics, communications and stakeholder relationships to ensure events run smoothly.

Alongside events delivery, you will support applicants throughout the recruitment process by responding to enquiries and helping maintain a positive, supportive applicant experience.

Key responsibilities

Organise and support UK and international student recruitment events and Offer Holder activities
Coordinate venues, travel, accommodation, suppliers and event logistics
Create and manage event webpages, booking systems and promotional communications
Support delivery of online and on-campus Open Days and recruitment events
Maintain event planners, KPIs and reporting processes
Liaise with academics, alumni, internal teams and external partners
Monitor recruitment inboxes and respond to applicant and event enquiries
Evaluate event performance to inform future activity
About you

You will bring demonstrable experience in organising and delivering events, alongside excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities, working independently, and collaborating across teams.

You will also have:

Strong communication and customer service skills
Experience managing information across systems and spreadsheets
Confidence working in a fast-moving delivery environment
Experience with finance tracking and procurement processes
Good digital skills across productivity platforms
A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice
Experience in higher education, events agencies, online event delivery, CRM/email platforms or simple web content management is desirable.

Working arrangements

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two days per week on campus. Attendance at events — including occasional evening or international travel — will be required during busy periods.

Join us and help shape meaningful experiences that connect future students with one of the world’s leading art and design institutions.

Please see Information Pack for further details.

Closing for applications 11.59pm on Sunday 10th May 2026

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible. If your application is pending, you will be emailed notice of the new closing date.
