Summary

Casual Learning Support Assistant (FE College)
£13.85 per hour | Flexible

We are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to support students within a busy and inclusive Further Education college.

This role is offered on a flexible, ad hoc basis, making it ideal for individuals seeking varied work that can fit around other commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support to students with additional learning needs, including SEND
  • Assist learners in accessing course materials and completing assignments
  • Support student's independence, confidence and engagement in lessons
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement support strategies
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting young people or adults in an educational or similar setting
  • Understanding of additional learning needs and barriers to learning in FE
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A flexible, reliable and proactive approach
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are desirable
