11596– 20 Hour Fleet Delivery Driver - Permanent (Van Included)
We are currently recruiting for a 20-hour Fleet Delivery Driver to distribute pharmaceutical and healthcare products and services to our portfolio of pharmacies located throughout the UK.
Our main Warehouse, where you will be based, is located on Lynstock Way, Lostock, Bolton, BL6 4SA and you will be required to collect your van and start work each day from this location.
If successful in joining our team, you will be allocated a designated run, which may change in location from time to time, working 5 days a week Monday to Friday from between 1pm and 5pm. Hours subject to operational needs on the day.
In accordance with our site H&S risk assessment, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
This vacancy is on a permanent basis, however, is conditional upon successfully completing the probationary period.
In essence your main responsibilities will be loading deliveries onto your designated vehicle, distributing the products to our branches, whilst ensuring all items are received correctly and undamaged. However, our Drivers are much more than this. As part of the Warehouse/Fleet team you will deliver exceptional customer service standards to your customers. You will want to achieve the highest professional standards in the way you drive, your appearance and your approach to your job role.
Key Responsibilities include:
• To be responsible for your own and colleagues Health and Safety.
• To be responsible for daily and weekly checks on assigned company vehicle and ensuring any defects are immediately reported to the relevant Supervisor/Manager.
• To be responsible for the general housekeeping of your assigned vehicle and of the warehouse, when appropriate.
• To ensure that all your assigned daily deliveries are completed in an efficient, safe and professional manner.
• Where possible, to assist with any reasonable requests made by our branches whilst on your deliveries.
• To ensure all relevant paperwork is completed as required.
• When required to assist in any other duties within the warehouse & fleet department.
• To perform every duty assigned to the best of your ability.
• To adhere to all relevant S.O.P.’s.
• When necessary - to assist other team members.
• To actively participate in operational meetings.
• Keeping the business informed of any issued via your line manager.
To be successful in this role you must have a clean full UK driving licence, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work independently as well as a team member, ability to follow instructions, be punctual and reliable as well as smart in appearance.
