Summary
Foot Mobile Electrical Bias Engineer
Location: Central London (Zone 2 / 4 to 5 sites, foot mobile)
Salary: £52,000 per annum + extensive client side overtime
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
The Role
We are recruiting for a high-quality, electrically biased Foot Mobile Engineer to support a portfolio of prestigious Tech, Media & Production and Corporate office space environments across Central London.
This is a highly client-facing role, suited to a professional and articulate engineer who is comfortable working in premium, fast-paced, occupied environments. The role involves covering Zone 2 with 4 or 5 sites, with regular interaction with senior stakeholders, production teams, and corporate tenants.
There are significant client-side overtime opportunities, offering strong earning potential in addition to a competitive basic salary.
Key Responsibilities
Planned and reactive electrical maintenance across 4–5 Central London Zone 2 sites
Deliver a consistent, professional engineering presence across all locations
Support live tech, media, broadcast, and production environments where uptime is critical
Electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and remedial works
Operation and maintenance of:
LV power distribution systems
General and emergency lighting
UPS systems
Basic BMS monitoring and operation
First-line response to technical issues within live, occupied buildings
Direct liaison with clients, tenants, and site management teams
Supervision and escorting of specialist subcontractors
Ensure all works are completed in line with H&S procedures, permit-to-work systems, and statutory compliance
Accurate completion of CAFM updates, logs, and compliance documentation
About You
Strong electrical bias with a solid background in commercial or critical environments
Proven experience working in high-end, client-facing buildings
Previous exposure to Tech, Media, Production, Broadcast, or corporate HQ environments is highly desirable
Confident communicator with a strong customer-service mindset
Well-presented, proactive, and comfortable working independently across multiple sites
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Qualifications:
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Experience operating under permit-to-work systems
Plumbing Level 2 qualification and/or Legionella Awareness certificate – highly desirable
IOSH or similar H&S qualification (advantageous)
